You say you are a Community Card how is this so?

It’s simple ….. All profits from the purchase of the card go back in to the Torbay Community, the Card itself, and a Charity chosen by you…. You can nominate HERE! … The scheme was purposely devised to benefit all who joined and even those that didn’t. By subscribing to the scheme you can be safe in the knowledge that whilst you are enjoying amazing savings throughout the year your subscription fee is being kept within the Bay to help it’s Community. We are the only Discount Card Scheme to do this in Torbay.

We also have some exciting news to share ……. The Torbay Discount Card is part of Boost Torbay which on May 19th, officially became a CIC making it a fully fledged Community Initiative. Read about it HERE

How much does it cost to join the Torbay Discount Card?

The Torbay Discount Card is FREE for Businesses in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham who want to join the scheme.  Members of the Torbay community can purchase one of our discount cards for just £10.00 a year or if you wish we also offer a 6 month subscription for just £5.00

How do I get a Torbay Discount Card?

You can order your discount card via our website …. Get Yours Here, or by visiting one of our promotional stands that will be springing up near you throughout the course of the year. There will also be selected businesses on the scheme across Torbay who will have cards in stock for you to purchase.

Where can I use my Torbay Discount Card?

You can use your discount card throughout Torbay, in businesses displaying our shopping bag, the percentage within the shopping bag is the amount of discount you can claim in that store with your discount card. You can also visit our Directory, which is updated regularly with new businesses joining the scheme.

What Businesses do you have on the scheme?

Our Customers are important to us and we know what every day living can be like, that’s why we have a wide range of businesses on the scheme not just Cafe’s and Shop’s. We have all come across those sudden mini emergencies, Computer won’t turn on, Fuse Box blown and the Electric’s won’t work, or how about a dinner date but the hair desperately needs a makeover. We have every day businesses on the scheme from Hairdressers, Electrician’s, Locksmiths and Driving Instructor’s to Cafe’s, Attraction’s and Local Shop’s. The choice is wide and varied and is being added to every day. We are sure there will be something for everyone.

I’m a business, what promotion are you doing?

The Torbay Discount Card and businesses on the scheme are advertised throughout all Social Media channels open to us. We have locally designed Posters and Leaflets displayed in outlets across Torbay, you may have also seen our Banners strategically placed. We also have screen advertising in over 20 outlets across Torbay and press releases in local media as well as the odd Radio interview thrown in for good measure.

We are pleased to have the support of the Torquay BID, Paignton BID and other local prominent organisations with the Deputy Mayor Cllr David Thomas showing his support by adding his business to the scheme. The Torbay Discount Card has also been included in the Blatchcombe News which goes out over 5,000 households.

We are extremely pleased to announce that this website alone has had over 5,000 hits in it’s first month. We are confident this will grow beyond our expectations over the coming months.

We put a lot of thought into our SEO as it isn’t just us we want noticed but our businesses too and Google seems to agree as it has us ranked extremely well under a few search terms not just The Torbay Discount Card.

How are we different from other Discount Card Scheme’s in the Bay?

We are the original Discount Card Scheme for the Bay, we were founded in 2012 and are flattered that others think our idea is a good one after we had a brief break before launching. However we are very different in terms of growth for the future.

We are the first and ONLY Community Discount Card Scheme in Torbay.

Lost or Stolen Discount Cards

If you lose your discount card or if it has been stolen – you will need to e-mail us immediately on hello@torbaydiscountcard.com – we in turn will attempt to locate your card, in the event we are not able to locate your card a new card will be issued.  First replacement is totally free – subsequent replacements will be charged at £5.
