Overview

The Torbay Bookshop was opened by Sir Patrick Moore on 22nd November 1993.

The owners, Matthew and Sarah Clarke, had previously spent their working life in publishing and have been able to use this experience and their numerous contacts to attract many celebrities to their store for signing sessions.

In March 2002 Dick Francis opened their stunning new shop. This fabulous air-conditioned store has a superb range of stock in all areas with a great childrens’ section, hundreds of current novels at only £3.99, many books at half price, a huge selection of quality greeting cards and stockists of Naxos CDs.

There is also an ‘out-of-print’ book service.
